Ms Osmani-Sadriu, you are the President of Kosovo and will be awarded the M100 Prize this Thursday for your commitment to democracy and understanding in Europe. What challenges do you face as a pro-European force in your country?
Receiving the M100 Award is a great honour, which above all recognises the pro-European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of the people of Kosovo. This commitment has been the basis for us to be an independent and sovereign country today and for our continued development. The award recognises the resilience of an entire nation that has never given up on its dreams, despite all the challenges. For Kosovo, this path is more complicated than for any other country in the region.
