The seventh and penultimate race date of the 2024 season will be celebrated at the Hoppegarten racecourse as a business race day with a big family festival. Racecourse owner Gerhard Schöningh said: “This race day provides a varied setting for the relaxed and intensive exchange of guests from business, politics and associations.”

In sporting terms, the Sonepar Germany Prize, endowed with 11,500 euros, stands out from the program of six races on Saturday with starters from Poland and the Czech Republic. In this Handicap II over 1600 meters, alongside Bavarian Princess (Leon Wolff), who recently won impressively in Hanover, the two Amigo Charly and Velato (Michael Cadeddu), who are trained in Hoppegarten, have good chances of winning.

Trainer Sarka Schütz points out the fine condition of her protégé: “If Amigo Charly can continue his good performance in Iffezheim/Baden Baden, he can leave his eight opponents behind. Especially since he has a good young rider in the saddle with Konstantin Phillip.”
