GRAFTON, Ohio — A half-dozen or so Saturdays every summer, Brian Broadbent and a group of mostly East Side softball players gather their equipment, stow it in the trunks of their cars and head west to Lorain County to take on some talented opponents.
These are always “away” contests for Broadbent and crew — because the other players have to schedule all their games at home.
