BEREA, Ohio – Deshaun Watson’s accuser intends to interview with the NFL in two weeks, and has ‘pertinent’ video to share, her attorney, Tony Buzbee told Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio on Thursday.
“We intend to interview with the NFL in two weeks,” attorney Tony Buzbee said in a statement issued to PFT. “This coming week however I have to go to the Coast Guard hearings in South Carolina regarding the Titan submersible implosion because I represent a victim’s family from that. When I return I intend to make my client available for interview along with two individuals who spoke to her immediately after the assault. I also have video to share that will be pertinent.”
The woman, known as Jane Doe in the civil suit filed on Monday, accuses Watson of sexually assaulting her during a date at her apartment on Oct. 10, 2020. She’s seeking $1 million in damages.

Watson on Wednesday strongly denied the allegations, saying he found out about them when everyone else did on Monday, when the suit was filed in Houston.
The NFL, which suspended Watson for 11 games in 2022 and fined him $5 million for what it deemed was sexual assault and misconduct with more two dozen massage therapists during appointments, has launched an investigation into the new complaint because it’s different from the others.
The investigation is being led by Lisa Fried, NFL Special Counsel for Investigations, who also headed up the previous investigation that resulted in 11-game suspension, fine and league-mandated treatment.
That agreement encompassed any new cases from that time period that were the same or substantially similar, and the NFL will try to determine if this is different and egregrious enough to warrant further punishment.
