Dikir Maulud close brotherhood among people

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 12 – To commemorate the birthday of our great lord Prophet Muhammad SAW, various religious activities are organized throughout the country.

Dikir troupe Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU) visited the Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah Mosque, Kampung Sungai Kelugos, Tutong District, yesterday.

The delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, and also involved KHEU officials and staff.

The event is part of the 12-night dikir event organized by KHEU which aims to prosper the mosque and strengthen the relationship between the villagers and the mosque congregation.

The dikir ceremony will continue at the Kampung Labu Estate Mosque, Temburong District, today.

Meanwhile, a similar event was also held in Belait District with the participation of the Dikir Bersama Mualaf group, organized by the Mualaf Development Division, Islamic Preaching Center (PDI).

The ceremony held at the Sinar Islam Association Building was attended by more than 60 people, including converts and villagers.

Leading the group is PDI’s Senior Religious Officer, Awang Ruslan bin Haji Sulaiman.

One of the fillings of the ceremony is titled tazkirah Exemplify the Prophet’s Morals in Lifewhich was presented by Dayang Siti Ramziah binti Haji Mohamad Ramli. In his tazkirah, he emphasized the importance of emulating the noble character of the Prophet SAW in daily life, in addition to encouraging converts to get involved in religious ceremonies.

The ceremony was also graced with the reading of Dikir Syarafil Anam and Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Meanwhile, Lambak Village Youth Association (PERBEKAL) also held a Dikir Maulud Ceremony involving the participation of approximately 50 members in several mosques and members’ residences around the country led by the Chairman of PERBEKAL, Pengiran Haji Nordin bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud.

PERBEKAL’s Dikir Maulud program aims to commemorate the struggle of the Prophet SAW in spreading the teachings of Islam as well as strengthening the friendship between members and the community. So far, the Lambak Berakas Mosque and the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Mosque (RIPAHS) in Kampung Rimba have been visited, with the program continuing throughout the month of Rabiulawal.

Not to be left out, the entourage consists of men and Muslim women Alumni of the First Intake of Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam High School English Stream (SMJA) 1975-1978 also took part in standing together with the Perak Jubilee Masjid Committee of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah in Kampung Jangsak.

The event started with congregational prayer and continued with the reading of Dikir Assalamualaika and Dikir Syarafil Anam.

The annual alumni activity aims to strengthen unity and involve members in spiritual activities.

Events like this reflect the spirit of the Muslim community in this country in glorifying the birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and strengthening religious practices as well as strengthening friendships among people.
