Bundesliga relegated SV Darmstadt 98 is not making any progress even with its new coach Florian Kohfeldt: The South Hesse team could only manage a 1:1 (1:0) draw in the basement duel against bottom club Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday afternoon and thus remain without a win of the season. Sergio Lopez scored the goal for Darmstadt in front of 17,076 spectators (28th minute). Substitute Levente Szabo equalized for Lower Saxony (86th).
After 30 minutes, Braunschweig had to finish the game without coach Daniel Scherning. Scherning protested too loudly after the opening goal from Hesse and was shown the red card. Braunschweig’s midfielder Sven Köhler had previously remained lying on the ground after a tackle.

Hannover 96 remains in the 2. Bundesliga close to the promotion spots. Coach Stefan Leitl’s team beat 1. FC Kaiserslautern 3-1 (1-0) on Saturday, thereby winning their third home game of the season. In front of 38,100 spectators, Hannover had a great chance in the first minute through Jessic Ngankam and took a deserved lead just a short time later through Bayern Munich loanee Hyun-Ju Lee (7th).
FCK equalized through their striker Ragnar Ache (56th). But Max Christiansen (73rd) with a deflected header and Thaddäus Momuluh (90th+5) in injury time scored the winning goal for Hannover.
