National soccer player Leroy Sané had to wait for his comeback for FC Bayern Munich. The 28-year-old offensive player started on the bench in the evening Bundesliga match against newly promoted Holstein Kiel (6:30 p.m./Sky).
Sané was part of the squad for the first time since his groin operation following the European Championship. In the second half of the season, the wing dribbler suffered from pain in his pubic bone.
Coach Vincent Company put the offensive players Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and Jamal Musiala in the starting eleven. Top scorer Harry Kane started up front. The Kiel team, with coach Marcel Rapp suspended for a red card, surprisingly started with Slovakian youth player Dominik Javorcek in defence. Former Bayern professional Jann-Fiete Arp started the game as a substitute for the northern Germans.
