In order to produce quality work, the production of the animated film Ejen Ali: The Movie 2 cost RM10 million.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Wau Animation Studio, Muhammad Usamah Zaid Yasin, the cost is greater than the first film that was shown five years ago.
“We started the production of this film early last year. The estimated budget to complete this second film is RM10 million. “This cost is higher than the first film in 2019 which was as much as RM6.5 million. Many things affect the budget this time, in terms of the economic situation and labor costs and other additional costs,” he said mStar.
Usamah shared that when met during the launch session Mission: First Look Agent Ali The Movie 2 in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
In the meantime, Usamah said the animated film is still in the making phase and not yet fully completed.
“In terms of the initial process, now we have entered 50 percent. But we are still in the final preparation process. Now our work is mixed, there are scenes that have been completed in terms of animation, some are still in the stage of arrangement,” he explained.
Talking about the differences, Usama informed that this film will feature innovations in terms of storyline, visual effects and featured characters.
“In terms of differences, of course we will improve many things including visual quality. As can be seen from the teaser video there is a difference in the details of Ali’s hair. We will try to renew the existing narration and characters. And for this film, we will also introduce new characters that have never existed before,” he shared.
