The Brandenburg Village and Harvest Festival will be hosted by the Altranft district of Bad Freienwalde next year. This was announced by the Ministry of the Environment. The district is located in the Märkisch-Oderland district and is “a Brandenburg manor farm village with many suitable properties for a diverse festival”. This is scheduled to take place on September 20, 2025.
The venue was decided by a selection committee made up of representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Farmers’ Association, the Rural Women’s Association and the marketing association Pro Agro.
The handover of the symbolic baton from Drachhausen – the place where the harvest festival was celebrated at the weekend – to Altranft will take place at the Green Week 2025. The Brandenburg Village and Harvest Festival was celebrated for the first time in 2004, but had to be cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the corona pandemic.
