According to sources, NRW Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU) is currently not available to be the Union’s candidate for chancellor in the 2025 federal election. Wüst stated this at a board meeting of the NRW CDU in Düsseldorf, as the German Press Agency learned from participants.
