US rapper Sean “Diddy” Combswho is accused of sexual violence, is arrested The arrest took place on Monday evening (local time) in New York, the federal prosecutor’s office said.
The indictment is expected to be announced this Tuesday, prosecutor Damian Williams said.
Combs Attorney said in a statement made available to the German Press Agency, of an “unjust” prosecution by the US Attorney GeneralCombs cooperated with the authorities and voluntarily went to New York in view of the expected charges.

Attorney Marc Agnifilo described his client as an “innocent man” who was looking forward to clearing his name in court. He also described Combs as a music icon, businessman and “loving family man.” He was a human being with flaws, but not a criminal.
Allegations against Combs
Against Combs (“Bad Boy for Life”, “I’ll Be Missing You”) has been the subject of several civil lawsuits for rape and abuse since last year. In March, raids in Los Angeles and Miami made headlines. US investigators searched the rapper’s houses there.
In May, CNN released a video that allegedly showed Combs attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel in 2016.
The 54-year-old rapper then publicly apologized. The singer had sued the musician in a civil lawsuit in 2023, among other things sexual abuserape, intimidation and physical violence during their long-term relationship. There was no trial, but a settlement. Combs denied the allegations at the time. (dpa)
