Often recognized in the country, actor Beto Kusyairy however said he never thought of chasing awards at the international level.
Beto or Nur Kusyairy Zakuan Osman, 44, said that since the beginning of his involvement in the art industry, the satisfaction pursued is not merely a gift.
On the other hand, the positive impact of the community after watching his acting work is one of the most valuable recognitions.
“I have never hunted for international or local awards. Indeed, from the beginning I applied to myself to do work without expecting recognition.
“Recognition for me when the audience is impressed and has a positive impact on them as a result of my acting, the rest is a bonus,” he said to mStar.
Beto shared that at the film’s press conference Gayong at Astana Putra, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Serdang, Selangor yesterday evening.
In the meantime, Beto said he never looked down on local awards, on the contrary, if he was given an award he accepted it with an open heart.
“I never look down on local awards because they come from my own country and fans watch and appreciate our work.
“When people want to give I don’t want to refuse, so I appreciate, thank and be grateful. I don’t think the local award is not comparable to my talent, poyo is crazy. We have to realize how close the sky is,” he explained.
Meanwhile, film actors Imaginary This is also a message to artists to prepare for big challenges if they want to pursue overseas awards.
“We have to realize who we are. Where the ground we step on, where the sky we hold up. If you want to pursue foreign awards, make sure you have prepared yourself well.
“Going abroad and getting an award will definitely make Malaysians proud, but prepare yourself first,” he said.
