The vehicle registration office is moving to the temporary administrative headquarters on Edisonallee. From September 18 to September 23, 2024, the authority will be closed due to the move to the Zentrum-Ost district. From September 24, visitors will start to visit the new premises at Edisonallee 11-19. The registration office can be reached via the barrier-free main entrance from Lotte-Pulewka-Straße, according to the city.
The new location covers an area of 834 square meters and is equipped with a total of 14 front office and nine back office workstations as well as a spacious waiting area, according to the city. There are 15 parking spaces available for customers on site, as well as another parking space for people with disabilities in front of the inner courtyard and 16 bicycle parking spaces, it said.
The move will take place as part of the Renovation of the Potsdam Town Hall necessary. The existing rooms in Helene-Lange-Straße are to serve as an alternative location for the registry office, as the city had previously statedThe city told PNN that the new premises for the vehicle registration office are not a permanent external location for the administration. The space has been rented for an initial period of ten years.
