KUALA LUMPUR, 18 SEPT – The organization of the Sarawakku Sayang Citizens Program (PMR) in Miri on September 27 to 29 is expected to attract about 100,000 visitors through various organized programs.
PMR 2024 Chief Coordinator of the Performance Surge Coordination Unit (PACU) of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mohd Zainuddin Mohd Noor, said the attraction included more than 2,000 job opportunities provided by 20 large companies through the Career Carnival.
“In some places such as the Penang and Kuantan (Pahang) editions, there are 400 to 500 people who applied and received a job offer letter after completing the interview on the day in question.
“We hope this initiative can help them increase their family’s income for a long time,” he said in an interview on the Selamat Pagi Malaysia program published by Radio and Television Malaysia (RTM) today.
In addition, Mohd Zainuddin said the program was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation and the Sarawak state government which also provided more than 200 direct services to the people.
Services offered include eligibility checks to apply for the Young Agropreneur Grant, which provides training and financial assistance to run agriculture-based businesses as well as food and agro-based industries. – Named
