After a series of negative headlines, Mayor Mike Schubert (SPD) can celebrate some good news. After poor results in previous years, the city of Potsdam has made up a lot of ground in an important ranking on digitalization. It is the Smart City Index of the digital industry association Bitkom, in which Potsdam slipped to 48th place among all 81 German cities examined last yearThis year, the team moved up an impressive 21 places to 27th position. Potsdam achieved 75.2 out of 100 possible points.
