BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 20 – A total of 100 students of Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan (Maktab Sains) recently participated in the Green Day Program for two days to increase knowledge about climate change specifically in the maritime field.
The program, sponsored by Darussalam Pilotage Services Sdn Bhd (DPS) and organized by Curious Mind, aims to support Brunei Darussalam’s efforts in promoting sustainability.
DPS Assistant Human Resources Manager, Siti Khadijah binti Haji Abdul Halid has emphasized the DPS company’s commitment to environmental preservation and community involvement during the program.
He went on to explain, “as a maritime pilot and tugboat service provider in the Muara waters, DPS sees this initiative as part of efforts towards maritime sustainability, especially in Brunei waters”.
“This program is one of DPS’s corporate social responsibilities to raise awareness among the youth about the importance of environmental protection,” he added.
Present at the event was the Principal of the College of Science, Dayangku Hajah Norhasima binti Pengiran Haji Hassan.
