Cheryl Hines enjoyed a night out at the Emmys days before a cheating scandal engulfed her marriage to Robert F. Kenndy Jr.
The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star was spotted sitting next to her co-star Jeff Garlin at the HBO/Max Primetime Emmy Awards Afterparty on Sept. 15, a source told People.
“She was in good spirits,” the insider added.
Hines was also photographed hamming it up on the Emmys red carpet with “The Hangover” star Rachel Harris.
Her marriage to Kennedy has come under intense scrutiny following reports that New York magazine’s political correspondent Olivia Nuzzi allegedly had an affair with him.
“The nature of some communications between myself and a former reporting subject turned personal,” the journalist, 31, confessed in a statement Thursday night without naming the rabid anti-vaxxer who recently endorsed former President Trump.
Nuzzi insisted, however, that their relationship was not physical.
Sources told the Post that Nuzzi, 31, who was engaged to fellow journalist Ryan Lizza, allegedly sexted the political scion.
Page Six exclusively reports that the pair “weren’t being particularly careful” about their alleged emotional affair and “may have told a lot of people” before it hit the headlines.
Lizza has revealed that he is no longer engaged to Nuzzi.
Following her shocking admission, New York magazine announced in a note to readers that Nuzzi has been put on leave.
“Recently our Washington Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi acknowledged to the magazine’s editors that she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign, a violation of the magazine’s standards around conflicts of interest and disclosures,” the publication said in a statement on its website late Thursday.
Nuzzi met Kennedy, 70, when she wrote a profile for New York magazine, which was published in November 2023. The affair reportedly began after the article’s publication.
Kennedy has denied anything untoward occurred.
“Mr. Kennedy only met Olivia Nuzzi once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece,” a Kennedy spokesperson told the Post.
Hines started dating Kennedy in 2011 and they were married three years later.
She shares a daughter, Catherine, 20, with her ex-husband, Paul Young.
Kennedy, who ran as an independent before dropping out of the presidential race last month, has six children with his two ex-wives, Emily Black and Mary Richardson.
Richardson died by suicide in 2012.
Kennedy had multiple affairs while married to Richardson, which he reportedly detailed in a journal.
Pals of the actress reportedly warned her against marrying the notorious womanizer.
A spokesperson for Hines has declined to comment.
