Lawn service employees report item missing: Bay Village Police Blotter

On Sept. 6 an officer witnessed a driver committing several traffic violations. The officers attempted to stop the driver, but the car continued toward the city limits. It finally came to a stop near Eagle Cliff Drive. After speaking with the driver, it was suspected he was under the influence. The driver submitted to field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was arrested. At the police station, he submitted to a chemical test. The 27-year-old Lorain resident will be facing numerous charges in Rocky River Municipal Court pending the test results.

Theft, Lake Road

On Sept. 6 lawn care service employees reported a theft near Pinewood Drive. The crew had

finished jobs at two addresses on Lake Road before walking items to their trucks/trailers parked on Pinewood Drive. A crew member left a leaf blower in the driveway between the two addresses. Upon returning to the job site, someone had come on to the property and stole it. Officers gathered information and are investigating the incident.
