BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 22 – Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir bin Abdul Haji Rani, Ra’es of Seri Begawan Religious Teaching University College (KUPU SB) and several academics from the Language Center, KUPU SB represented KUPU SB to the Southeast Asia Arabic Language Conference (Mubasat) the 5th time organized together with the Cambodia University of Management and Technology, took place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia yesterday.
Present as the guest of honor in the Summit was the Minister of Religious Affairs of Cambodia, HE Dr Chay Borin who in turn officiated the event.
At the ceremony, a total of 14 presenters from Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam and Ukraine presented their research papers.
In his speech as a member of the Muktamar organizing committee, Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir welcomed the continued cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Cambodia, especially in the field of teaching and spreading the Arabic language as implemented in the event.
With a theme Arabic teaching standards in Southeast Asia: Between Hopes and Aspirationsthe objectives of the event include providing a forum for discussion on matters related to the teaching and learning of Arabic in Brunei Darussalam and Southeast Asia.
The main focus of the discussion is related to the importance of forming quality Arabic teaching standards from the aspects of curriculum, teacher skills, assessment and others so that it can be practiced in expert institutions and further benefit all those related in the field of teaching and spreading the Arabic language.
The delegation also attended the 6th Mubasat coordination meeting for the year 2025.
