IU sent a gift as an apology for the noise and traffic congestion

Singer and actress IU sent gifts to 4,000 homes near the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea.

IU did so as a sign of apology to the surrounding residents who faced noise pollution and traffic congestion in the area for two days due to the organization of the IU 2024 concert. HERE Encore: The Winning which takes place on 21 and 22 September 2024.

Allkpop reported, IU gave gifts in the form of household items and disposal bags along with a message asking residents in the area to be patient with the noise and traffic congestion that will occur.

Residents in the area also expressed their feelings of being moved by the action, not to mention that this is the first time they have done so. He even described IU’s actions as wise and can relieve the hearts of the residents who will be stressed every time there is an event held at the stadium.

“My house is very close to the stadium area and this is the first time I have received a gift like this,” commented one of the residents.

It is understood that IU distributed gifts to residents in several apartment complexes located in Mapo-gu, Seongsan-dong which is right next to the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
