It sounds spectacular: taking your hands off the wheel while driving at 95 km/h, reading the newspaper, surfing the Internet or watching a film and munching on popcorn while the vehicle stays in its lane and brakes independently. This should be possible on German roads from spring 2025. Mercedes Benz expects the approval of its correspondingly expanded Level 3 systems by the Federal Motor Transport Authority.
