IU denied needing compensation for damaged stadium grass due to the concert

Following a concert at the Sangam World Cup Stadium in Seoul, singer IU was allegedly the cause of damage to the stadium’s grass.

There were even accusations that IU had to buy new grass to replace the damaged grass.

Appearing to criticize the allegations, the management of IU which is EDAM Entertainment insisted that it complies with all the rules set regarding lawn care. He explained that the accusation of buying new grass is considered baseless considering that they have done their best to reduce the damage to the grass.

“We did comply with all the rules and put a protective platform on the seating area in the field. We have also asked fans not to wear high-heeled shoes during the concert to ensure the condition of the grass is maintained,” he said.

Previously, many parties voiced their concerns about the condition of the stadium’s turf located in Mapo-gu.
