Fashion: Olympic atmosphere at Dior

The Christian Dior fashion show, which showcased the looks for the coming summer, was almost a little nostalgic. When looking at the backdrop, one couldn’t help but think of the Olympic Games, which ended in Paris just two weeks ago with the Paralympics.

A glass corridor was set up in the middle of the sky-blue catwalk, with a target at the end. The show was opened by an archer whose arrows shot past the models throughout the show, never missing their target once.

The collection itself was also all about sport. Different swimsuits were on display, worn with flat, toeless over-the-knee boots or knee-high Roman sandals. Biker jackets, stripes and black and white check patterns were reminiscent of motorsports.

The show was disrupted twice by Peta activists who mingled with the models with signs reading “F*ck Feathers” and “plucked butts” and marched down the catwalk in front of stars like Jennifer Garner and the singer Rosalia, who were sitting in the front row.
