Real Madrid survive the pressure of Alaves in La Liga
MADRID, SEPT 25 – Real Madrid bounced back from losing at home to win 3-2 against Alaves in the seventh round of matches in La Liga yesterday.
Real Madrid’s strong starting line-up had little trouble despite taking a 3-0 lead against Alaves.
Lucas Vazquez put Madrid ahead in the first minute after receiving a pass from Vinicius Jr, and Kylian Mbappe’s fifth goal in five games doubled the lead five minutes before the break.
Rodrygo looked set to seal the match when he raced inside from the right to score with a low shot three minutes into the second half.
Attempts by both teams then hit the post before the visitors’ consolation goal was scored by Carlos Benavidez in the 85th minute.
