Star hip hop died at the age of 56 in hospital after collapsing on stage at a show in Connecticut on August 30.
The music star, whose real name is Isaac Freeman III, suffered from hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and his death was ruled ‘natural’, a spokesman for the chief medical examiner’s office in Connecticut told the news agency, P.A.
Fatman Scoop had a number one hit in the United Kingdom (UK) with Be Faithful in 2003 and appeared in the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother in 2015.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated on tracks by Timbaland, Missy Elliott, David Guetta, The Situation and Skrillex.
