BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 29 SEPT – With the blessing and guidance of Allah SWT, 22348 Soldadu Wahroseliza binti Buah from the Office of the Garrison Commander, Secretariat Office of the Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (ABDB), Ministry of Defense, Bolkiah Garison and her sister have embraced Islam, today this.
The conversion ceremony was held at their parents’ residence in Kampung Pak Bidang Ukong, Tutong District.
Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan.
Also present were members of the National Assembly, Honorable Haji Mohamad Danial@Tekpin bin Ya’akub who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Ukong; Acting Tutong District Officer, Awangku Arif Anuar bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad; Ukong Village Chief, Awang Mohammad Hakimi bin Abdullah Gampar; Acting Director of Islamic Dakwah Center (PDI), Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU), Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abd Rahman; ABDB senior officers; officers from PDI; and ABDB members and the families of the new sisters.
The event began with the recitation of Al-Quran Surah Al-Mu’minun from verses 1 to 11 which was read by the Assistant Deputy Staff Officer of Religious Movements, Religious Affairs Department of the Indonesian Armed Forces (JAMA’AT), Captain Muhd Nasyrul Wafiy bin Haji Mahdini, followed by the recitation of the Dua Kalimah. Shahadah by Soldadu Wahroseliza and his sister led by officers from PDI Tutong District.
The ceremony was enlivened with the chanting of takbir three times, followed by the recitation of the Prayer of Islam by the Staff Officer of the Religious Movement, JAMA’AT, Major Narul Ismandi bin Haji Samaih, and enlivened by the recitation of Dikir Marhaban and the scattering of potpourri.
Soldadu Wahroseliza has chosen Wahroseliza bint Abdullah Buah as his Islamic name.
