BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 30 – In conjunction with National Youth Day 2024, Kampung Lambak Youth Association (PERBEKAL) for the first time held a special bowling match for its members at the GOSTRIKE Arena Seria Bowling Sports Complex.
Present to launch the match was the President of PERBEKAL, Pg Hj Nordin bin Pg Hj Mahmud. Also present and participating in the match were the Perpetual Chairman, Pengiran Jofri bin Pengiran Hj Zaidi; Deputy President, Pengiran Mahari bin Pengiran Hj Md Tahir; 1st President, Siti Seriana bte Hj Mohd Yusof Naib and 2nd Vice President, Pengiran Abd Aziz bin Pengiran Hj Md Tahir.
A total of 40 members participated in the match and were divided into six teams competing in three categories: singles; teams and teenagers (youth), to win the President’s Cup.
Among the main objectives of the match is to unearth the talents of youth players who can be highlighted, make bowling a game that many people are interested in, strengthen friendships among members and carry out beneficial activities in addition to maintaining mental and physical health.
The event began with a welcome speech by the Chairman of the Sports and Recreation Bureau, Awg Sufian bin Hj Masri, followed by Surah Al-Fatihah and a blessing prayer read by the Permanent Chairman, Hj Zakaria bin Hj Liman.
The presentation of prizes will be held at a place and time to be determined later.
