BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 30 SEPT – The SMSS team successfully won the Futsal Finals Tournament in conjunction with the 34th Teacher’s Day Celebration organized by the Ministry of Education at the Closed Hall, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Sports Complex yesterday.
While the runner-up, Cluster Team 2, and third place from the Religious Teachers Team, Department of Islamic Studies (JPI).
Present as the guest of honor to present the prizes to the winners was the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education), Ministry of Education, Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman.
This Futsal tournament is one of the sports and leisure activities organized to enliven and enliven the 34th Teacher’s Day Celebration, Year 2024 with the participation of 28 teams and 4 teams competed in the finals yesterday.
Participation in this tournament has been opened to officers and staff including teaching staff who are currently serving in the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU), namely the Department of Islamic Studies (JPI), Seri Begawan University College of Religious Education (KUPU SB) and the Institute Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Among the purposes of this tournament is to encourage the Ministry of Education and KHEU to be active and competitive in sports and foster a spirit of harmony and strengthen friendship among the two ministries.
The tournament is organized by the Department of Co-curricular Education, Ministry of Education as the Sports Events Committee for the 34th Teacher’s Day Celebration, Year 2024.
