BTS member Suga was fined 15 million won for allegedly riding an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol.
Korea Times reported, sources told the Western District Court of Seoul, South Korea imposed the fine on Suga or real name Min Yoon Gi last Friday.
The amount of the imposed fine corresponds to the initial request made by the prosecution on September 11.
Summary orders are usually fines or sentences imposed for minor offenses through a speedy process without a full trial.
If Suga refuses to pay the fine, the singer can file a full trial within seven days of the court’s decision.
On August 6, Suga was arrested by the authorities after he was found to have fallen from an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol near his residence in Yongsan district.
The concentration of alcohol in Suga’s blood was reported at 0.227 percent, far above the 0.08 percent reading that is subject to the conditions for driver’s license cancellation.
The singer was later released under police supervision and fined and his driver’s license revoked. – Agency
