Edmonton weather: Wet and windy weather with a side of thunderstorms

A look at Tuesday Edmonton Weather from Environment Canada.

It’s 5 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with 14 km/h winds out of the west northwest.

Time to put away the windbreakers and pull out the raincoats.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for a cloudy 15 C day with a 60 per cent chance of showers blown in by winds up to 40 km/h, and a risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Those winds will persist overnight, with a 30 per cent chance of showers in the evening The wetness will subside Wednesday, with the winds dipping down to 20 km/h and a high of 11 C.
