BELAIT, OCT 2 – MS ABDB and Chainblock Leisure team managed to win the Belait District Tug of War Competition held recently.
The competition organized by Kampung Panaga Seria National Housing in collaboration with the Belait District Office was in conjunction with the celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah’s 78th birthday.
According to the chairman of the organizer, Awang Khairul Abidin bin Md Yassin, as the head of Kampung Panaga C, a total of 18 teams from all over the country participated to compete in two categories based on the total weight of the members in the team, namely the 680kg category and the 560kg category.
“A total of 10 teams competed in the 680kg category and eight teams in the 560kg category, where the best team will advance to the knockout round to claim the championship,” he said.
Present as the guest of honor at the same time completing the presentation of prizes to the winning team was the Member of the National Assembly and also the Head of Kampung Bukit Sawat, Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann,
The competition saw the ABDB MS Team emerging as champions for the 560kg category after defeating the SPSS Tuggers Team in the final, while third place was won by the PPDB MS Team who defeated the KB Bull Brothers Team.
Meanwhile, the Leisure Chainblock Team won the 680kg category after defeating the MS PPDB Team in the final, while the SPSS Tuggers Team placed third, followed by the MS ABDB Team in fourth place.
