CLEVELAND, Ohio — Verbena Free Spirited and Fleurish Zero-Proof Events and Bartending have scheduled the second Sober in the City dinner for later this month.
Sober in the City’s second event is set for 5 p.m. on October 19 at Abundance Culinary in Cleveland Heights. Chef Liu Fang, who was recently recognized by Plate Magazine as a 2024 Chef to Watch, will prepare a five-course dinner showcasing different elements of Chinese cooking utilizing seasonal ingredients harvested from Northeast Ohio.
Her husband, Carl Setzer, will be providing zero-proof pairings from his brand Pointless Ginger Ale. Abundance Culinary is at 1975 Lee Road.
Abundance Culinary will host the second Sober in the City dinner series event.
Tickets for Sober in the City sell for $175 and only 40 spots are available for the intimate dinner party.
Sober in the City is a recent series from Vereban, the non-alcoholic bar at 1434 W. 29th Street, and Fleurish, the mobile bartending business.
Molly Cheraso, owner of Verbena Free Spirited, and Emily Tanski, owner of Drink Fleurish, hope that the events will continue to showcase the idea that community-based events centered around delicious food, a beautiful setting and wonderful company are just as fun, if not more so, without alcohol.
