PAC goes to the field to ensure that the implementation of the project is beneficial for the people

KOTA KINABALU, 2 OCT – The National Accounts Committee (PAC) will continue to implement proactive actions in the field to see for themselves the problems faced by the people in order to ensure that the implementation of government projects is truly beneficial.

Its chairman, Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin said the approach also strengthens the cooperation between the Parliamentary and state PACs which indeed have the same source of power which is to monitor all government expenditure and finances whether at the federal or state level.

In this regard, he said the Parliamentary PAC for the first time held a working visit to Sandakan and Tawau for the proceedings of national water management issues under the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) and Sabah and Sarawak Rural Water Supply under Rural and Regional Development (KKDW). .

“When we have a work visit we can see for ourselves how the project is implemented and get feedback from the community involved and this is very important instead of just sitting in the proceedings room and listening to reports from others.

“But this time we go to the field and we see for ourselves, especially when the problem involves technical issues,” he told reporters after the Proceedings of the National Water Management and Rural Water Supply of Sabah and Sarawak, in Kota Kinabalu, today.

He said that during the work visit that was held, PAC was informed about the project implementation issues, especially for the matters criticized by the audit in its report. – Named
