KUCHING, OCT 2 – Sarawak has allocated RM12 million for Chinese Aided Primary Schools and RM10 million for Chinese Aided Secondary Schools in the state this year.

Sarawak Premier, Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the allocation to the Chinese Aided Primary School had increased by RM3 million compared to RM9 million last year.

“This year, the allocation has been increased from RM9 million to RM12 million to help Chinese-aided primary schools.

“In addition, another RM10 million is allocated to secondary schools and all these aspects are taken into account for the future of our children,” he said in a statement issued by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) today.

According to the statement, Abang Johari said this while speaking at the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Chinese Aided Primary School Management Board Association Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Division in Kuching, yesterday.
