Fall is a season of change and we are starting to see the potential for frost return to the area. A Frost Advisory will be in effect to the northwest through 9am this morning.
As of 5am, temperatures to the northwest have not dropped into the 30s yet but are expected to. There is a brief window of opportunity where some frost could form in this part of the area early this morning but the rest of us will be too warm.
The second front this week has cleared the area. Just like the one earlier this week, it did not bring us any moisture and barely any clouds.
However, it will bring us another temperature change. Many of us are off to a cooler start this morning. The southern half of the area reached the 90s yesterday but this afternoon will not be as hot. Winds will not be as strong either.
More changes occur over the weekend. Saturday will be windy and unseasonably warm. Record highs are around the middle 90s this time of year so we will be on record watch tomorrow.
Due to warm, windy, and dry conditions, a Fire Weather Watch will be in effect to the northwest Saturday.
At the same time, the next cold front will be making a sweep through the region. It will arrive too late in the day for us to feel the effects of it but Sunday will not be as hot.
Temperatures stay warmer than average through much of next week. We will also stay dry too.
