BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 4 OCT – Upon the approval of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 19 senior officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) have been approved to be promoted at the Promotion Badge Presentation Ceremony which took place at the Bolkiah Garison Officer’s Mess, today.
Present and completing the promotion for senior ABDB officers was the Commander of the ABDB, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan.
Also present at the ceremony were the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and the Second Minister of Defense, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (B) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Defense, the governments and the acting government of the armed forces and the acting commander of the armed forces together with the ABDB, the deputy permanent secretary of the Ministry of Defense, the directors and senior officers of the Ministry of Defense as well as the family members of the officers who were promoted.
At the ceremony, four officers were promoted from lieutenant colonel/commander (TLDB) to permanent colonel/captain (TLDB), one officer was promoted from acting lieutenant colonel to permanent lieutenant colonel and 14 officers were promoted from the rank of major/lieutenant commander (TLDB) ) to acting lieutenant colonel/commander (TLDB).
The ceremony ended with the recitation of Doa Selamat by the Acting Director of the Religious Affairs Department of the Indonesian Armed Forces (JAMA’AT), Lieutenant Colonel Ariffin bin Amit @ Hamid to bless the ceremony.
