BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 6 OCT – In conjunction with the Puja Day of His Majesty His Majesty the King’s Wife Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, Group of Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and Members -Associated members held a Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony, Thanksgiving Prayer and Sunat Hajat Prayer, today.
The ceremony took place at Dar Al-Intishar, Jerudong Sports Complex, Jerudong Village. The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by Chairman II of the Steering Committee of the Cabinet Ministers’ Wives Group, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and Associate Members and the Head of the Religious Work Committee Wives Group, Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Awang Asbi.
The event continued with the recitation of the khatam Al-Quran led by the Religious Education Officer, Dayang Hainun binti Haji Mustapha and Hajah Norasnida binti Haji Ramlee and then followed by the recitation of the throne, Doa Khatam and Dikir Marhaban before closing with the Prayer of God Protecting the Sultan and the Nation Bunei Darussalam.
The ceremony in the evening was also followed by a congregational Sunat Hajat prayer led by the Senior Religious Education Officer and also as an Associate Member, Hajah Azizah binti Haji Mohamad as well as reading a Special Prayer of Thanksgiving to conclude

Meanwhile, the same ceremony was also held by 40 members of the Brunei Darussalam Nurses Association (PENJURU) which took place at Al-‘Afiah Hall, Ministry of Health.
The President of PENJURU, Datin Paduka Hajah Suraya Noraidah binti Abdullah in her welcome speech emphasized among other things that PENJURU as a professional body of nursing, midwifery and all health workers registered with the Nursing Board for Brunei Darussalam certainly has important tasks in supporting all the goals of the Ministry Health towards providing the best service to
society.
Earlier, he mentioned that as the patron of PENJURU, His Majesty the King’s wife is a source of inspiration for all members of PENJURU.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by a member of the PENJURU Committee, Haji Nipah @ Ariffin bin Haji Hassan and at the same time led the chanting of Dikir Marhaban before closing with the Prayer of Selamat and the Prayer of God for the Protection of the Sultan and the Nation of Bunei Darussalam.
At the ceremony, the recitation of the usual surahs starting from Surah Ad-Duha to An-Nas was led by Awang Khairul Anwar bin Haji Abdullah and followed by the recitation of Taktim and Doa Khatam.
Also present were the Vice President of PENJURU, Hajah Asmah binti Haji Omar; PENJURU Acting Honorary Secretary, Hajah Salmah binti Haji Mohd Noor; Acting Director of Nursing Services, Ministry of Health, Haji Salleh Kamal bin Haji Baruddin; Special Level Nursing Officer, Nursing Services Division, Ministry of Health, Hajah Kertini binti Haji Suhai; members of the Supreme Committee of PENJURU, the officers and staff of the nursing service, Ministry of Health from the four districts as well as members of PENJURU.
