BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 7 OCT – In conjunction with the Puja Day of His Majesty His Majesty the King’s Wife Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, an Al-Quran khatam ceremony, recitation of Surah Yasin and thanksgiving prayers were organized by the Seri Begawan College of Religious Education (KUPU) SB) located at Dewan Tarbiah, University College yesterday.
Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was Ra’es KUPU SB, Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honor, followed by the recitation of the khatam of the Al-Quran starting from Surah Adh-Dhuha to Surah An-Nas by KUPU SB students.
The ceremony then ended with a prayer of thanksgiving for His Majesty the King’s wife Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha by the Assistant Ra’es (Research, Internationalization and Services) of KUPU SB, Dr Haji Abang Hadzmin bin Haji Abang Taha.
In addition, there was also a ceremony to read surah Yasin, obligatory Maghrib and Isyak prayers in congregation as well as thanksgiving prayers that took place simultaneously in the Tarbiah Hall and KUPU SB Surau.
The ceremony was held as a sign of gratitude to the Divine with a prayer that His Majesty may be extended, blessed with health and well-being, as well as an abundance of grace from Allah SWT and further may His Majesty and the royal family be blessed with His taufik, guidance and inayah.
