SIBU, 8 OCT – An elderly driver died on the spot when the car he was driving collided with a four-wheel drive vehicle at Kilometer 75, Jalan Sibu-Bintulu, Selangau at about 7:40 this morning.
Mukah District Police Chief, DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said the victim, a man identified as Dian Igoh, 67, was seriously injured in the body and was confirmed dead by medical officers from the Selangau Health Clinic.
“Preliminary investigations found that the accident occurred when a four-wheel drive vehicle traveling straight on the right lane of the road from Sibu to Bintulu collided with a vehicle driven by the victim who was making a U-turn,” he said. – Named
