The limousine transport sector in Dubai is experiencing remarkable growth, with passenger numbers soaring to 37,858,890 in H1 2024.

This marks a 50 per cent increase from the 25,223,984 passengers reported during the same period last year.

The sector includes both traditional and e-hailing limousine services, with recorded trips climbing to 21,757,983 in H1 2024, compared to 14,496,543 in 2023.

This increase of 7,261,440 trips also represents a 50 per cent rise, highlighting a thriving demand for luxurious transport options.

Limo companies grow to 244 in 2024

Adel Shakri, director of Planning and Business Development at Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, attributed this growth to a sustained increase over the past six years. “To meet the rising demand, we have expanded the number of companies in this sector from 123 in the first half of last year to 244 this year.”

This surge in providers has naturally led to an increase in vehicles, from 9,544 to 14,480 during the same timeframe,” he added.

Shakri also emphasised the importance of this sector’s performance. “The innovative services provided enhance the customer experience and satisfaction, ultimately supporting the economic and digital growth of the emirate.

“These results further consolidate Dubai’s position as a global hub for business, investment, and tourism,” he said.
