BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 9 – To discuss the regulations and requirements related to the safety, health and well-being of Brunei Darussalam pilgrims, the Hajj Management Preparation Meeting for the Hajj Season Year 1446 Hijrah/2025 AD was held recently at between the Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU) and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Saudi Arabia online.
Representing KHEU at the meeting was the Permanent Secretary of KHEU as chairman, Haji Muhammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim; Temporary Power of Attorney, Brunei Darussalam Embassy in Riyadh Saudi Arabia as representative of His Excellency the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to Saudi Arabia, Dayang Norhafizah binti Haji Mohd Sofian; Permanent Secretary (Security and Welfare), Ministry of Home Affairs (KHEDN), Awang Salminan bin Haji Burut; Third Secretary (as representative of the Acting Consul General of Brunei Darussalam in Jeddah), Haji Khairul Amri bin Haji Bolhassan; Haji Managing Director, KHEU, Haji Abdullah bin Haji Mohamad; Acting Director of Immigration and National Registration, KHEDN, Haji Azmi bin Haji Abdul Rahim; Acting Assistant Director of Hajj Affairs, KHEU, Haji Mohd Hisham bin Haji Maidin; and Haji Liaison Officer, Consulate General of Brunei Darussalam in Jeddah, Haji Muhammad Naqib bin Haji Awang.
The meeting also discussed the issues arising in the management of Hajj during the Hajj season last year for the purpose of improving and ensuring the smoothness of Hajj management in the Hajj season of 1446H/2025M.
The results of this meeting will be brought to the ministerial level meeting in January, while attending the 4th Edition of the Haj Conference and Exhibition in Saudi Arabia.
