BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 9 OCT – The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (KKBS) yesterday received a delegation of members of the National Assembly (MMN) for a dialogue session and a working visit with two departments under the ministry, namely the Community Development Department (JAPEM). and the Department of Youth and Sports.
In the morning, the dialogue session and working visit with JAPEM which was held at Dewan Digadong, KKBS Building started with a visit and explanation from several sections in the relevant department, namely the General Welfare Assistance Section; Call Center and Senior Citizens and Pensions Section.
Next, after the visit, the dialogue session between MMN and JAPEM members started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat by the Religious Development Assistant, Youth Development Center, Awang Muhammad Nabil bin Haji Roslan.
The ceremony was followed by a welcome speech from the Acting Director, JAPEM, Dayang Siti Zaharah binti Haji Abdul Razak, who emphasized the importance of strategic networks and platforms that have been built and developed together with government or non-government agencies in bearing the great responsibility of the relevant department in caring for the well-being and help those who need help.
Meanwhile, the dialogue session with the Department of Youth and Sports in the afternoon held at the Conference Hall, Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Berakas started with a tour and explanation of several sections, namely the Sports Science Medical and Research Center, the Youth Hub and the Sports Gallery.
Next, after the visit, a dialogue session between MMN members and the Youth and Sports Department began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat.
In the welcome speech from the Director of Youth and Sports, Hajah Umi Kalthum binti Haji Abdul Karim, he touched on the efforts and achievements of the sports sector.
He said that through such dialogue sessions, advice, criticism and valuable views from MMN members can be a guide to improve and strengthen programs that have a positive and high impact in order to achieve the goals and aspirations of His Majesty’s government. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The dialogue session continued with a discussion and question-and-answer session.
The event has certainly become a forum for approaches and sharing thoughts that are beneficial to KKBS in increasing the quality of services for the main sectors under the ministry.
