Gaza has ‘completely changed’ | Gem Media Online

WASHINGTON, OCT 10 – The Gaza Strip is described as ‘no longer identifiable’ with no end in sight to the violence that has plagued the Middle East, the head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said yesterday, according to an Agency report. Anatolia.

“There is no end to the violence that has plagued the region. It has been a year full of loss and deep suffering,” said Philippe Lazzarini during a UN Security Council meeting on the situation in the Palestinian territories.

Gaza became a graveyard for tens of thousands of people, including many children and almost the entire population was displaced. Referring to the situation in the occupied West Bank, Lazzarini warned of increasing violence, with nearly 700 people killed over the past year and more than 160 of them children. Lazzarini also pointed out that Lebanon is the latest victim of the widening conflict.

“Civilians bear a very high price. Airstrikes by the Israeli army killed and displaced hundreds of thousands of people,” he said.

He emphasized the importance of UNRWA in Gaza, while warning that the agency’s operational space is shrinking amid Israeli attacks. – Named
