There is a small chance for rain today. We will be monitoring areas around and east of the turnpike where a shower or storm will be possible. As of 4am, there has not been much yet.
This chance will last through the morning hours and possibly into the afternoon. The rest of the area will stay dry.
Temperatures stay above average today. Even though we will return to the 80s and low 90s, our warm days are numbered.
There is still some wildfire smoke in the upper levels of our atmosphere too. Air quality is approaching unhealthy levels to the northwest.
Friday will have a similar look and feel compared to what we have experienced since early this week. A front will also start to move in from the north.
The front will tease us through Saturday. We will stay warm and even high temperatures north of the front will be above the norm. There will not be much moisture associated with it. The front dips farther south and we will feel the effects of it by Sunday.
Hurricane Milton will exit out into the Atlantic Ocean by the time we head into the weekend but Florida will still be very busy cleaning up after experiencing flooding, wind damage, and tornadoes.
Next week will be much cooler. While high pressure will continue to be the dominant feature, a sprinkle or shower could slip through the cracks early in the week.
