YANGON, OCT 11 – A 5.3-magnitude earthquake shook central Myanmar at about 11:10 a.m. local time today, the country’s Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) reported.
According to DMH, the epicenter was determined to be 8 kilometers (km) to the southwest of the town of Thabeikkyin in Mandalay Region.
The earthquake, with a depth of 10 km, was initially located at 22.85 degrees north latitude and 95.91 degrees east longitude, DMH said. – Xinhua
