NFL London Jaguars vs. Bears picks, prediction, best bet for Week 6, Caleb Williams player prop bet

NFL London Jaguars vs. Bears picks, prediction, best bet for Week 6, Caleb Williams player prop bet

The NFL heads back to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London for a Sunday morning matchup between the Bears and Jaguars.

The betting odds give Chicago an edge in the third overseas game of the season. The Bears are 3-2 on the year, while the Jaguars got their first win in Week 5.

Check out our comprehensive guide on how to read betting odds and bet on sports if you’re a newcomer.

Jaguars vs. Bears prediction and best bets

I’m surprised the best online sportsbooks favor the Bears by such a small margin. Chicago gained confidence in the past two weeks vs. the sub-.500 Rams and Panthers, and I predict another victory against the one-win Jaguars.

Jacksonville has one of the worst defenses in the league, and the unit is especially deficient against the pass. The Jaguars have given up 340+ passing yards in back-to-back weeks and nine passing touchdowns in the last three games.

Bears QB Caleb Williams has improved each week, and the rookie is coming off his best game as a pro. The first-overall draft pick threw for 304 yards and two touchdowns, earning the third-best passer rating of Week 5.

If Williams has an off-game, Chicago’s backbone is its elite defense. The Bears allow the fifth-fewest points per game and opposing QBs average only 174 yards vs. the Monsters of the Midway.

NFL Week 6 Jaguars vs. Bears odds

Playing in a different country presents hurdles that are bound to impact each team’s performance. This can sometimes cause low-scoring games, and betting the under has cashed in five of the last six London matchups dating back to the 2023 season.

According to TeamRankings, Chicago is 3-1-1 against the spread and 3-0 as a betting favorite. The Jaguars and Bears have a combined record of 6-4 on unders.

The PFF Greenline shows a majority of bet slips and money wagered is banking on Chicago to win and cover the spread.

Jaguars vs. Bears moneyline odds analysis

Why the Bears could win as the favorite

Best odds: -126 at FanDuel Sportsbook

Williams and Bears WR1 DJ Moore finally got on the same page last week, helping Chicago score a season-high 36 points vs. the Panthers. Moore reeled in five catches for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

If the duo can keep clicking, they’ll be one of the best QB-WR combos in the NFL.

RB D’Andre Swift was a non-factor in the first three games but had 120+ all-purpose yards and a touchdown in consecutive weeks.

The Bears’ defense has been on fire, forcing seven turnovers and recording 14 sacks. DT Gervon Dexter Sr. is quietly blossoming into a premier interior defensive lineman, leading the team with four sacks and three tackles for loss.

Chicago has had trouble stopping the run but excels at keeping opponents out of the end zone.

Why the Jaguars could win as the underdog

Best odds: +115 at Caesars Sportsbook

Williams has gotten better protection in the previous two games, but the Bears’ offensive line could still be a weakness. A big game from Jaguars DE Travon Walker (fifth-most sacks in the NFL) would stop Williams and Chicago’s offense from getting in rhythm.

Jacksonville’s defense needs to play better than we’ve seen in recent weeks to keep the Jaguars in the game. The unit has no interceptions and Jacksonville will need some timely takeaways on Sunday morning.

RB Travis Etienne has yet to surpass 70 rushing yards in a game, and the rushing attack found a spark in last week’s win when RB Tank Bigsby got most of the handoffs. The second-year back went for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

The Bears’ defense is top-tier but can be beaten on the ground.

QB Trevor Lawrence was having a disappointing year until Week 5 when he broke out for 371 yards and two touchdowns. If Jacksonville needs to mount a comeback, Lawrence must be sharp for the Jaguars to come out on top.
