With GITEX Global 2024 set to begin tomorrow, technology innovators across the globe are preparing to showcase groundbreaking solutions that will shape the future of industries, businesses, and digital ecosystems.

This year’s event promises to offer a deeper focus on collaboration, particularly in the realms of artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and the ongoing digital transformation journeys of enterprises in the Middle East and beyond.

Here ,we speak to tech industry leaders to get insight into what they are showcasing at GITEX Global 2024.

Talal Alkaissi, EVP, chief government affairs & partnerships officer, Core42

There is little doubt we have entered the era of AI. Technology is no longer a distant frontier — it’s embedded in our daily lives, shaping industries, economies, and personal interactions in ways we couldn’t have imagined even a decade ago. As we approach GITEX Global 2024, the theme ‘Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy’ couldn’t be more timely. AI has become a cornerstone of progress, but unlocking its full potential requires collaboration across borders, industries, and sectors.

At Core42, we’re committed to advancing this global dialogue. Our showcase at GITEX (at Concourse 2) will highlight our latest innovations in digital infrastructure and enablement of AI-driven solutions that are purpose-built for industry needs. We anticipate the event’s key trends to centre around the democratization of AI, where custom-built solutions are tailored to specific industries, as well as the continued rise of sovereign cloud infrastructure to ensure data security and compliance.

GITEX Global also holds special significance for us as it was the platform we selected to launch Core42 last year. As this year’s event coincides with our first anniversary, we look forward to showcasing the strides we’ve made in advancing the frontiers of technology to serve a global clientele.

As Core42 charts its path forward, it remains focused on expanding its capabilities, embracing new technologies, and strengthening its position as a leader in a world where digital infrastructure is the backbone of every critical operation.

Moueen Zahreddine, regional director – Strategic Business for EMEA Emerging, Riverbed

We are excited to return for the 44th edition of GITEX and our annual participation is driven by our commitment to showcase how Riverbed is helping organisations improve digital experiences and IT operations, ensuring that they stay ahead in an increasingly competitive landscape.

This year, we unveiled some of the most significant advancements to our Riverbed Platform which provides full-stack observability (using real data), enabling customers to optimise digital experiences by using AI to prevent, identify, and resolve IT issues. As a result, by leveraging the Riverbed Platform which includes unified observability and application acceleration solutions, organisations can reduce the complexity of supporting highly distributed environments to drive operational efficiency, deliver better digital experiences, and enable business growth.

At GITEX (Stand 19, Concourse 2), we will host live demos of this platform to highlight the value it can deliver to regional enterprises as they accelerate forward on their digital transformation journeys.

We also look forward to collaborating with other industry stakeholders at GITEX, the theme for which this year is ‘Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy’. At Riverbed, we strongly subscribe to the belief that collaboration benefits the industry as a whole. We are especially keen to see what other technology providers that our channel partners work with will be showcasing. It is through the integration of these solutions with our own that enterprises in the region will build robust IT ecosystems that will power their digital futures.

Philippe Jarre, president, Mindware Group

GITEX Global 2024 is a significant opportunity for us to connect with our channel ecosystem and industry leaders and display our latest innovations while demonstrating our commitment to driving digital transformation in the region. We are excited to present our extensive portfolio and engage with attendees to explore how we can support their technology needs and help them navigate the future of IT.

Mindware will be exhibiting at Booth H2-A30, where attendees will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the company’s innovative technologies tailored to meet the evolving needs of today’s digital landscape. Highlights of Mindware’s participation at GITEX 2024 include advanced Cloud offerings; AI and Machine Learning innovations that empower businesses with actionable insights, predictive analytics, and automation capabilities to drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence; next-gen cybersecurity, and smart IT infrastructure.

With a dedicated AI Business Unit, Mindware is keen to demonstrate to channel partners and customers its MAGIC (Mindware’s Aggregation Gateway for Innovation and Collaboration) Hub, which now includes comprehensive AI services aimed at overcoming the challenges to AI adoption in enterprise settings. Additionally, we are fortunate to have exceptional support from our vendors, with over 20 vendors showcasing their latest technologies at our booth.

This year Mindware is highly interested in the growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and looks forward to seeing what technology vendors have to offer in this area. Another area of interest is how security is being integrated into these innovations, as it is a critical concern in today’s world.

Omar Akar, regional VP for CEE & META, Pure Storage

As enterprises further embrace AI to drive innovation, streamline operations, and gain a competitive edge, traditional storage infrastructure fails to meet the performance, scalability and energy-efficiency requirements needed. In fact, according to a recent survey that Pure Storage conducted, 98 per cent of CIOs and IT decision-makers state that their IT infrastructure requires urgent improvements to create the necessary conditions for AI success. 81 per cent believe that AI-generated data is likely to outgrow their organisation’s current data centres, emphasising the need for a robust, high-performance, efficient and cyber-resilient AI infrastructure.

Customers today also face challenges around ease of management and automation of disparate systems. While competitors look to address these issues by offering a potpourri of disparate products — consisting of different operating systems, APIs and management — Pure Storage offers a single, consolidated, consistent, and highly orchestrated platform that delivers more than 10x the reliability at less than one half the power, space, cooling and labour of competitive solutions.

I look forward to GITEX and the opportunity to show customers and partners how Pure Storage’s unified data storage platform (at Stand 19, Concourse 2) can be the engine that powers regional organisations’ business transformation strategies.

Sertan Selcuk, VP for METAP and CIS, OPSWAT

OPSWAT’s participation at GITEX (at Cyber Valley, Hall 25, Stand C70) is driven by a strong commitment to delivering comprehensive cybersecurity solutions, establishing us as a trusted authority within the industry. Our engagement in this event is strategically focused on three main objectives. First, we aim to showcase our comprehensive suite of cybersecurity solutions, emphasising their critical role in safeguarding IT infrastructure and ensuring robust protection against emerging threats.

Second, in support of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we are offering complimentary critical infrastructure protection (CIP) certifications through OPSWAT Academy. This initiative is available to attendees at our booth through the Cyber Challenge Quiz and on-demand sessions, reflecting our dedication to enhancing cybersecurity knowledge.

Third, by engaging with IT professionals and key stakeholders at GITEX, we seek to forge and fortify strategic partnerships that integrate various cybersecurity domains, driving innovation and collaboration within the industry.

We will showcase our CIP Mobile Lab, integrated with a nuclear power plant model for live demos. Attendees will experience firsthand how OPSWAT secures critical IT environments with our comprehensive suite of cybersecurity solutions, including peripheral media protection, file upload security for web applications, asset visibility and management, cross-domain security, email security, and more.

A simulated malware attack on crucial IT infrastructure will demonstrate how our prevention-based technologies can effectively counter such threats and safeguard critical systems.

Abdul Rehman Tariq Butt, regional sales director, Middle East, SolarWinds

This year will stand out as being the largest appearance by SolarWinds at GITEX, headlined by our CEO Sudhakar Ramakrishna. Sudhakar took over the CEO role in the weeks following the highly sophisticated Russian SUNBURST cyber-attack. He expertly navigated SolarWinds through what could have been a devastating development, and in doing so, offered up the gold standard for how companies need to take accountability, communicate transparently with regulators and customers, and emerge stronger after setting the frameworks in place to mitigate such threats in the future.

The ‘Secure by Design’ and ‘AI by Design’ frameworks we now have in place are models for the industry, and our participation at GITEX ( at Hall 8, Stand C15) will serve as a demonstration of both our commitment to the region, as well as to up-levelling the tech industry as a whole.

Additionally, GITEX draws an especially prominent participation from local government entities. It intrigues me to imagine what they have in store this year, particularly around AI use cases. Large service providers like e& and Du have also consistently showcased cutting-edge innovations — not just for businesses, but for consumers as well — and I will certainly drop by stands such as these to indulge the tech enthusiast in me.

Uday Shankar Kizhepat, VP and GM – MEA, WSO2

At GITEX 2024, WSO2 is excited to align with the theme, ‘Foundational technologies to create awesome digital experiences’. Our participation at the event this year underscores our commitment to delivering the infrastructure that empowers businesses to focus on innovation while we handle the complexities.

This year, we are showcasing our cloud-native solutions that form the backbone of powerful digital experiences. From API management to customer identity and access management (CIAM), our technologies help enterprises build robust, scalable platforms. Whether you want to run it yourself, in a private cloud, as SaaS, or subscribe to our internal developer platform, Choreo, WSO2 enables you to focus on business requirements while we take care of the heavy lifting.

We are particularly excited to see advancements in AI-driven automation, low-code/no-code development, and cybersecurity at GITEX (at our stand: Concourse 2, Stand 2), as these align with our vision of simplifying and securing digital transformation.

WSO2’s flexible, future-proof solutions help businesses create seamless digital journeys, and we look forward to engaging with industry peers to explore new ways of enhancing these experiences. GITEX is an ideal forum to showcase how our products are foundational to the next generation of applications, workflows, and automation.
