Though outside voices called for a quarterback change after Week 5, Kevin Stefanski declared Deshaun Watson would remain the starting quarterback going into Week 6.
The main term both players and coaches have mentioned is needed for success is “execution”, and with that they can flourish as expected ahead of the season.
The Browns got some big active roster moves ahead of Sunday with linebacker Mohamoud Diabate (reserve/injured), defensive tackles Mike Hall Jr. (exempt/Commissioner permission) and Maurice Hurst II (reserve/injured).
However, they will be out with numerous players including safety Grant Delpit, linemen James Hudson III and Ethan Pocic, linebacker Jordan Hicks and defensive tackle Quentin Jefferson.
