Resident fed up with speeding school bus: Gates Mills Police Blotter

GATES MILLS, Ohio

Traffic complaints: Chartley Road

A resident said Oct. 9 that each school day, a school bus travels more than the posted 25 mph speed limit during the afternoon.

Officers contacted the transportation department at Orange Schools and advised them of the complaint. They said that a supervisor would investigate the matter.

Lost property: Mayfield Road

A motorist said Oct. 6 that a toolbox had fallen off her truck near the St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Officers checked the area but did not locate the lost toolbox.

Soliciting: Andrews Lane

Officers responded to a soliciting complaint Oct. 7 and located a man passing out campaign literature.

He said he was finished, and he subsequently left the area.

Welfare check: Chagrin River Road

Officers checked at a home Oct. 8 for a resident whose son had been unable to contact him by phone.

They located the man and confirmed that he was OK and had been sleeping.

Disturbance: Dorchester Road

Officers responded to a loud music complaint at 3 a.m. Oct. 12.

They located the home in which the music was coming from advised the homeowner of the complaint.

The owner subsequently turned off the music.
