Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce attend Guardians playoff game against Yankees at New York

NEW YORK — It wasn’t a Kansas City Chiefs football game, but Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce still made a splash Monday night during Game 1 of the American League Championship Series.

The international pop superstar and Chiefs tight end were in the stands at Yankee Stadium to watch the Cleveland Guardians take on the New York Yankees. They sat together in a suite along the right-field line.

Although Kelce is a native of Cleveland Heights, his attire showed no loyalty to either team, wearing a black ballcap that said Midnight Rodeo. Kelce has said in the past he was a fan of the 1990s Indians teams. He did throw out a ceremonial first pitch at a Guardians game last season.

Swift wore a plain black ballcap with no logos.

Kelce had time to attend the game as the Chiefs were on a bye this weekend. The 5-0 Chiefs travel to San Francisco on Sunday to play the 49ers.

Swift will resume her tour on Friday with the first of three shows in Miami. Her tour will continue until wrapping up in Vancouver on Dec. 8.
